PeopleSoft Project Coordination

Project Scope

The University System of Maryland is comprised of eleven degree granting institutions as well as two research centers.  It is the nation's 12th largest university system, enrolling nearly 130,000 students worldwide in 600 degree programs, delivered in classrooms, laboratories, education centers, and online.  The USM has a total operating budget of $2.5 billion with over 8,000 acres of facilities at over 100 locations.

All USM degree granting institutions have contracted with PeopleSoft for administrative software licenses.  These institutions are:

Towson University (TU) University of Baltimore (UB)
University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC)
University of Maryland College Park (UMCP)  
University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) University of Maryland University College (UMUC)

In addition to the institutions, licenses have been awarded to the University System of Maryland Service Center (USMSC)  which provides software support for a number of the USM institutions and to the University System of Maryland Office (USMO).

The following matrix (produced by USMSC) reflects the scope of the licenses acquired by each entity within the USM.  Implementation priorities and timelines are available through institutional project plans.
